History

Canoga Park is a neighborhood in the western San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, a largely working-class community adjacent to Woodland Hills.

Originally called Owensmouth when founded in 1912 to receive water from the LA Aqueduct; renamed Canoga Park in 1931.
